The blue check is a sales tool. Most businesses that qualify never get it.
When Google screens a business for Local Services Ads, it puts a badge and a call button on the listing. Customers read that as approval. The screening is mostly paperwork, and paperwork is where busy owners stall. We take it off your plate.

Same business. A very different first impression.
The badge does not change your work. It changes how a stranger feels in the three seconds before they choose who to call.
A stranger trusts you sooner
The badge answers the first question a new customer has about any business they have never heard of.
The call comes straight to you
Customers tap the button on Google. No form, no hunting for a number on your site.
You pay when someone reaches out
Local Services Ads bill per lead, so the budget follows real conversations, not clicks.
Without the badge, you are one more option. With it, you are the safe choice.
- Below the ads and the mapCustomers decide before they ever reach your listing.
- A name they do not knowNothing on the page tells them you are legitimate.
- Competing on priceWhen every option looks the same, cheapest wins.
- At the top for eligible searchesShown before the regular ads and the map for many local searches.
- A Google check next to your nameThe screening is done before the customer ever calls.
- Competing on trustReviews and the badge carry the decision, not the lowest quote.
Three things stand between you and the badge.
Requirements differ by category and region. These are the ones almost every business runs into.
Background checks
Google screens the owner and, in some categories, the people who go into customers' homes. We tell you exactly who needs to be checked.
A license on file
If your trade or profession is licensed, Google wants the license number, in the right business name, current.
Proof of insurance
General liability at the level Google sets for your category, with the certificate in the right format.
The fastest approvals come from complete, matching documents on the first try.

Questions about the badge
Still not sure? Ask. You will hear back from the person doing the work.
Is the Google Verified badge the same as Local Services Ads?
The badge is what customers see. Local Services Ads is the Google program behind it. You get the badge by passing the program's screening, and the ad is what puts it at the top of the page.
Which badge will I get?
Google decides by category. Home service trades usually see Google Guaranteed, while professional services such as law firms and real estate usually see Google Screened. We confirm yours on the first call.
How much does it cost?
You pay Google per lead, and the price per lead depends on your category and city. Our setup and management are quoted separately after the eligibility call.
What if my category is not eligible?
Then we tell you plainly and point you to the channel that will work instead, usually Google Ads and the map pack.
Can I lose the badge?
It can be paused if licenses or insurance lapse, or if the account has serious complaints. We watch expiry dates and response times so it stays active.
Do I need a website for this?
Not for the ad itself, since customers call straight from Google. A good site still helps with everything else, including Google Ads and AI answers.
